Our programme

“My coach has been a very important figure throughout my first year at university. I have been able to go to them with any problems and questions knowing that I will receive the necessary support and guidance.”

The Programme

We work with universities to provide a programme of support to students during their first year at university.

By joining the programme you will be matched up with a leadership coach to work with you throughout your first year at university and beyond. You will join a growing network of students and ambassadors at top universities in the UK. This tailored programme of support will:

  • Empower you to make the most out of your time at university.

  • Develop key leadership skills including problem solving, confidence, and resilience.

  • Work towards long term goals and short term targets to support you in your academic work, career ambitions and co-curricular activities.

  • Support in identifying other support services including career resources, financial support and well being provision.
Foster positive relationships with staff at university staff.

Meet Boni

Boni is proof that you get out of life what you put into it. Since starting university at Kings College London she has secured several work experience placements and international opportunities.

“The Bridging Project has enabled me to organise my priorities and helped me maintain financial stability. The coaching sessions have enabled me to rationalise any difficulties which were impacting on my studies. This has hugely reduced the anxiety of transitioning from sixth form to university.”

What students are saying

“My coach worked to remind me of my academic abilities, which made me feel less out of place and deserving of my place at university. It helped me overcome any anxiety I felt due to being a minority”
